The Three Sisters and Blue Mountains

If you have a lot of extra time in Australia, I highly recommend going north of Sydney in Katoomba where you'll find the scenic views Blue Mountains and Three Sisters. The train ride to Katoomba will take approximately two hours from Sydney's central station. It's a long ass ride but I promise you it's worth it! ;)

The Three Sister: Meehni (922 m), Wimlah (918 m), and Gunnedoo (906 m).

One of the famous views along the Jamison Valley in the Blue Mountains is the iconic rock formation called the Three Sisters. There are different versions of the Aboriginal story of the Three Sisters, but since I have no time for urban legends whatsoever, all I can say is that it is one of the most scenic views I have seen in my life. Felt very surreal, heavenly and peaceful. Definitely a place to have that moment of zen. Hehe.

Here's a panoramic shot of what you'll see from the Queen Elizabeth Lookout.

In case you're wondering why the place is called Blue Mountains, it's because of the optical phenomenon called 'Rayleigh scattering'. According to Scenic World AU, "Rayleigh scattering causes the rays of light which impinge on small particles to be scattered in various direction... if an observer looks at a distant object with the intervening atmosphere illuminated by sunlight, eyes will receive the blue scattered rays of sunlight to reflect the object itself. Therefore any distant object will always appear to display."

Apart from the Queen Elizabeth Lookout, visitors also have an option to do the walkway tour going down the rainforest from the cable car or railway. Sorry no photos since I've done those way back in 2004. Haha.

Check out the cafe's and shops near Katoomba station. As usual, very chillax vibe lang. ;)

We didn't stayed that long as we all agreed to have late lunch/snacks back in Westfield Penrith to try and checkout Chocolateria San Churro. Pasensya na in advanced, medyo off topic na. Hahaha.

San Churro claims to be Australia's favorite chocolate cafe serving delicious churros, to decadent chocolate shakes, cakes and desserts.

For someone who has a sweet tooth like me, I definitely had a hard time choosing what to eat.
Hello, bawal talaga ang diet dito! Haha.

We ordered a serving of churros and CAN I JUST SAY THAT IT'S THE BEST I'VE TASTED SO FAR. WE NEED THIS IN MANILA. NEED.

Chocolate on chocolate, WHY NOT.

Sa totoo lang, words cannot explain how good their chocolate is. IT'S WAYYY BETTER THAN NUTELLA! Parang nutella upgraded! Hahaha. If you're an entrepreneur interested in bringing something new to Manila, THIS IS IT. Promise, masarap!
