My first AirBnB Experience

Booking in advanced is a must and definitely recommended for those travelling abroad but since I had less than a month to prepare for the Macau trip (sponsored flight by Air Asia-Zest) I had no choice but to check other options such as Airbnb.

Luckily, I found a single bed room for rent at Villa de Mer in Rua Central da Areia Preta, Macau.
It's actually a 2-bedroom condo unit that has one common bathroom, living room and kitchen.

 

There's TV and fast WiFi connection.


And voila! There's a pole in the living room. Plus, my sweet Paolo! Haha. He decided to stay and go to Macau with me. Insert hashtags #WhatMoreCouldIAskFor and #SweetestBoyfriend. Lol.


Google Maps isn't updated so here's a screenshot just to give you an idea how far it is from the terminal.
From the terminal you may take bus number AP1 and pay less than MOP5.00 per person versus taking a cab. Trip takes less than 30 minutes. Show this Chinese address: 海天居第四座 to the driver so that he'll know which bus stop to drop you off.

Overall the experience was great! I was a bit skeptical at first but then I was really on a tight budget so I had no choice but to give it a try. Good thing Sheryl (the owner) was really easy to communicate with and speaks fluent English. I paid less than HKD300.00/USD40.00 per day so it's not that bad at all. Plus, Sheryl was kind enough to accommodate Paolo at no extra charge so at least we're able to save a few bucks for food and shopping. I'm definitely recommending Sheryl's place, book it now at Airbnb.com! ;)
