Lord Muruga at Batu Caves
Batu Cave is one of the nearby tourist destinations in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. From KL Sentral, you need to get a ticket for the KTM line going directly to the Batu Caves. Travel time is probably around 30 minutes.
Sorry I haven't done my research, I don't know who he is but he's the first thing you'll on the entrance. Speaking of entrance, it's free! ;)
One of the temples.
No wonder I've seen a few dozen blog posts complaining about the smell of this place. There must be hundreds of this type of bird here. Don't forget the monkeys too!
After almost 300 steps, we're here! We made it! Now what? Lol.
I'm glad the place wasn't crowded nor dirty as expected. We stayed for a while to catch our breath and enjoy the view of stalagmites/stalactites. On our way down, some rude monkey tried to grab the bottled water from my hand. Paolo already knew that I was the monkeys next "target" but he had no time to warn me as I was busy carefully going down the staircase. It kinda freaked me out at first but I had to act cool or else I might accidentally fall down OR he might get mad and hurt me. Lol. So yes, be careful of the monkeys. Try not to care. The more you look, the more they come to you.
I am beginning to stalk your travels. Off to KL this weekend :) How amazingly cheap are those flights???
ReplyDeleteI think the boyfriend and I paid Php3k each for roundtrip flights via CebuPac. ;) Enjoy your trip! :D
