Itinerary for day 2 was to go around Macau. We planned to join group tours but then a friend of my brother advised not to 'coz its cheaper if we go there by ourselves.
Ate a hearty breakfast in Metropark Hotel's Palm Court resto.
Palm Court serves almost the same array of food everyday. Not complaining though, mas ok na yung busog kesa gutom. After breakfast, we went to Tsimshatsui to look for the Hong Kong-China Terminal.
We kinda got lost on our way to the terminal. :| Basta from Harbour City in Canton Road, go straight lang until you reach the HK-CN Terminal (left side).
Took us about an hour to get to Macau.
So upon arrival:
Boom! We're like stuck there for almost an hour. Siksikan! 500-1000 visitors siguro yan.
Once you're done with the immigration, lots of buses are found outside the terminal. They're free shuttles provided by hotels/casinos so no need to take a cab.
We took the shuttle that would bring us to The Venetian.
I had no idea that the skies were fake.
Turista Shot No. 1 Pagbigyan niyo na, its my first time in Macau. ;)
We had late lunch in the food court. They use Macau money here, good thing they accept HKD.
Turista Shot No. 5 Love the interiors of The Venetian. Ang drama. :)
Couple Turista Shot No. 2
We wanted to check out the casino. Malay mo manalo! Kaso sayang, nahalata nila na Isha's a minor. BOOO. So yeah, no casino for the adults. :( We walked around Macau na lang to check out other hotels and stores. Macau is basically a haven for casino players. Wala kang mabibili dito, unless manalo ka sa casino. Mostly high end brands lang kasi meron.
After hotel hopping, our next stop was the Ruins of St. Paul. Going there reminds me so much of Quiapo. I don't know, parang ganun din ang vibe pero siyempre safer and cleaner. ;)
Turista Shot No. 6 Buti pa photo niyo maganda and malinaw. Kudos to the photog.. ehem ehem!
We did more hotel hopping after Ruins of St. Paul. A lot of hotels here also offer free viewing of shows. Meron sa Wynn, Mandarin, MGM, etc. Now I know why you don't need to join group tours. Buti na lang mabait yung friends ng kuya ko at nagbigay sila time para i-tour kami around Macau. ;)
Turista Shot No. 7 Taken at the Grand Lisboa
After non-stop walking for like almost 5 hours, we met up with another friend and went straight to A Lorcha. A Lorcha is said to be one of the best Portuguese restaurant in Macau.
Here's our group photo. :) Thanks to newly weds Sheena (girl in the farthest left) and Gabe (guy on my bro's right) for being a gracious host to our family. Food was superb! Can't wait to blog about it. ;) Thanks also to Olivia (girl sitting across Sheena) for coming with us, we had fun!
